Every class starts with a brief warm up and stretch. Don’t worry you won’t be asked to perform cartwheels or anything physically difficult and there is no minimum level of fitness is required. You will train at the pace that suits you and will never be pushed to do more than you can handle.

Each class will focus in on one of the core pinning positions of grappling or one of the many chokes, joint locks and escapes that are the bread and butter of the sport. You’ll take turns practicing the techniques shown with a partner offering varying degrees of resistance.

What do I need to wear?

Training is conducted in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi, which will be provided as part of your membership. Underneath the Gi, most participants opt for shorts and a tight-fitting T-shirt or rash guard.
